For twelve years now Deafblind Scotland has been touching the lives of adults who have lost or are losing both their sight and their hearing. A small but dedicated staff group serves over 330 deafblind adults across Scotland. Many deafblind people rely solely on their sense of touch to communicate, many live alone and many cannot leave their homes safely without assistance.
Deafblind Scotland fights to reduce the extreme isolation experienced by deafblind people by providing services that help to build a sense of belonging and community between deafblind people, their friends, families and carers. These include:
