Computer Training

Computer courses will begin at the end of August 2001 and will run for eight weeks approximately. There will be another eight week course beginning in January 2002. Teaching will be on a one-to-one basis and there will an option of weekly training or for those who live further away there will be residential courses available.

The courses will be an introduction to basic computer skills which will enable deafblind people to use a computer and to provide further support if people wish to enter their local college or learning centre.

Communication support is available in a variety of different methods including British Sign Language, Deafblind Manual, Hands-on-Signing and verbal communication.

Services range from learning basic computer skills to accessing email and internet.

Information will be made available in Large Print, Braille and Moon.
