Deafblind people use different communication methods. The type of communication method used by a deafblind person will be dependent on the deafblind person’s needs.

Deafblind people may use one or more of the following types of communication:

• Braille & Moon
• Clear Speech
• Block Alphabet
• Manual Alphabet
• British Sign Language (BSL)
• Visual Frame Signing
• Hands-on Signing
