Vietnam cycle
4th - 16th November 08 (13 days, 12 nights)

Are you ready for a serious challenge that even John Rambo would be proud of? Deafblind Scotland is inviting keen cyclists to head to the exotic Far East to complete a cycle tour in north west Vietnam, a trip of nearly 400 miles – don’t worry, it’s not all uphill! – through a kaleidoscope of hill-tribe villages and stunning scenery.

Prepare to be overwhelmed by Vietnam's natural contrasting beauty; from the patchwork of bright green rice paddies and tea plantations to the rugged mountains, spectacular karst cliffs and deep gorges, you can't fail to be bewitched by its traditional charm.

Participants must pay an initial deposit of £349 and then raise a minimum sponsorship of £2650 but don’t stress out about raising the funds; once you get started you’ll realise it’s quite straightforward given you are doing something amazing and we’ll be on hand to give you examples and ideas of how to do it in an enjoyable way.

People from all walks of life take part in this challenge but it's vital that you train beforehand so that you get the most out of the cycle. A suggested training plan is available and trek staff can also provide training tips, as required.

Included in the price: flights and all interval travel, accommodation, camping equipment, bicycle, all food (except four meals), water, refreshments, guides, a doctor and medical support.
