Peru Trek

12th - 21st September 08, (10 days, 9 nights)

Picture yourself as a budding Indiana Jones but never had the chance to see if the hat fits? Well Deafblind Scotland is giving you the opportunity to explore Indy’s original stomping ground, Peru, and trek to an ancient Inca fortress high in the Andes, undiscovered until 1911.

Immerse yourself in ancient Peruvian culture, experience diverse scenery trekking through traditional Andean villages and along high mountain trails before reaching the unparalleled Machu Picchu, recently voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. For those of you who love mountains, a physical challenge and a sense of adventure, then look no further and come trek with us!

People from all walks of life take part in this challenge but it's vital that you train beforehand so that you get the most out of the trek. A suggested training plan is available and trek staff can also provide training tips, as required.

Participants must pay an initial deposit of £349 and then raise a minimum sponsorship of £2750 but don’t stress out about raising the funds; once you get started you’ll realise it’s quite straightforward given you are doing something amazing and we’ll be on hand to give you examples and ideas of how to do it in an enjoyable way.

Included in the price: flights and all interval travel, accommodation, all meals whilst camping and most meals in hotels, water, refreshments, guides, camping equipment, a doctor and medical support.
