"Just Try It": 20th April 08, 1.30pm

On April 20th in Strathclyde Park, over 100 people took the "Jusst Try It" deafblind challenge to experience sensory deprivation and raise funds for Deafblind Scotland.

By donning blindfolds and earmuffs and undertaking a 10k walk - with their trusty guides - participants had an unforgetable, and often scary, taster of what it's like to live with a severe dual sensory impairment, if only for a short time.

And if walking around the park wasn't exciting (traumatic!) enough, participants were then guided onto a waiting speedboat to be whizzed around the lake at breath-taking speed, certainly not for the faint-hearted!

We received an overwhelmingly positive response from those taking part so it's very likely we'll run a similar event next year, with a new twist or two to keep people on their toes.....so stay tuned!
