Linda Takes the Trophy

Deafblind Scotland member, Linda Anderson, took the trophy at a bowls competition in Irvine recently after coming top of the visually impaired category.  She's not even been playing for two years, so was delighted with her performance at  the event, which was organised by North Ayrshire Sports Association for the Blind.  Linda is part of Deafblind Scotland's weekly bowling group and receives regular coaching thanks to the charity's Into Touch Project.  It aims to improve the confidence and well-being of deafblind people by putting them in touch with activities within their communities.  She also attends the Blind Bowling Association in Paisley and is still celebrating her win!
