My Life - Frances Gallagher

An interview with Frances Gallagher, one of Deafblind Scotland’s members, was printed in the Evening Times on 10th June. She told of the difficulties she faced as a mother of seven children with severe hearing loss and of her recent loss of vision. Nevertheless, Frances described 2006 as the best year of her life if her good health continues and said she would like to be remembered “as a battler and a rebel.” The reporter, James Hasting clearly admired Frances, describing her as a “marvel.”
