A selection of poems by Charlie MacIntyre

About Charlie

Charlie MacIntyre was born in Winslow, Buckinghamshire but was brought up in the Viewpark area of Uddingston. He first started writing poems whilst a pupil at Uddingston Grammar School and since then a number of his poems have appeared in local newspapers, magazines and anthologies.

Charlie was brought up in the Douglas support branch of Glasgow City Mission and after graduating from Glasgow International Bible College (BTI) he worked for a time as a City Missioner in the East End of Glasgow.

He is a lay preacher with the Baptist Union of Scotland, a member of Bellshill Baptist Church and of the Scottish Fellowship of Christian Writers. He is also involved as a telephone listener with Crossline Motherwell. Although registered blind, he very much appreciates the fact that he is able to share his gift of writing with others.
